My New Home!
Hi, Im Pumpkin! I am new to this area but seem to be fittin in pretty good. I have now been at the stables for almost two weeks. I have to say I am not use to this slow pace life. I give my girl alot of trouble because right now all I want to do is RUN.
I came from a farm up in stem, NC. I am a golden Palomino quarter horse mare. I am 10 years old and yes I am "Right." I love to run and would like nothing more than to take off and run till my heart stops beating. I love to run, did I mention that. I have run barrels and done many many miles on the trail, most of which I covered while I was yes running. My new owner, they call her "Ma" has taken to me, I kinda like her myself. She likes to dress me all up pretty and then walk me, or try to at least. I enjoy walking sideways most of the time and showing off my sidepass, but Ma doesnt really like it and has made me straighten up, literally. I like the boys at the barn, especially Duster, but he seems to ignore and just pin his ears at me whenever I come around. We all know what that means! I think he likes me. I have a new friend at the barn they call her Dimples. She is cool, we like to graze together, hang out in the paddocks together and go on trail rides together. She is fast but I think I will give her a run for her money if Ma ever lets me run. Well, Ill let you know how the running thing goes. Hopefully soon Ma will see my potential and put me on the barrels!!! I have more heart than most horses and would make her proud.
