Just to Let you Know!
Howdy EE Stables guest! I just wanted to let you know some things that are taking place at the farm right now. Everyone is doing good, Duster is 100% again, and everyone is healthy except for a few runny noses and a little virus that is on its way out of the herd. We have been so busy and have not really had a chance to let everyone know what was happening.
We have been going to CCBR shows in Lillington, camping, giving lessons, and riding around the farm. We went to CCBR (Central Carolina Barrel Racing) shows in July, August, September, and October. Our last show is November 17th until the 2008 season. We went to Mule days in September and have plans to go to Little River Campgrounds in Lillington in November.
The horses are doing wonderful. Duster, Lee's horse who was hit by a car in July is doing awesome. He has recovered 100% and is back under saddle. He went to Mule Days in September and hung out with the other horses at CCBR in October. He is feeling good and back to his normal curious self. Comanche, Michelle's horse has come so far with his barrel training. He loves to work and enjoys the challenge. If we can get over the gate shyness, we will be an awesome team. His last show was by far his best. He ran a speed barrel in 10.1 and ran the clover pattern in 20.54. He has already trimmed off time since the last show in September where he ran a 21.26 clover pattern. In September Manche and Michelle actually took home the high point Novice horse for the day, that was a close run between the girls (Michelle and Jessica of course) His turns are beautiful he just needs to lose a little bit more weight so he can move between the barrels. Dimples, Jessica's horse is putting on weight finally and is loving her home at EE Stables. She is also running at CCBR and has improved her personal times drastically since the first show. Jessica has overcome several issues such as veering to the right as soon as she runs in to go back to the trailer, shying at the gate like Manche, and raring up on the back side of the barrel. WOW! Jessica has been busy working with her. Her times at the last show included a 10.51 on the flag exchange, which she took away the big BLUE ribbon, and a 20.78 on the clover pattern. She has beaten her personal best at all her events but her clover came down from a 21.21 at the show in September. You can tell the girls have been busy working with their horses. We look forward to the last show and cant wait until the 2008 season. We are going to be unbeatable!!!!
The lessons are going good. We have 3 instructors going at it non stop and we still have people interested. Lucky, Tsunami and Ben are doing there best to keep up with the demand.
Keep posted for picture updates. We hope to see you at the barn.
