Wow what a weekend! "Dimples"
Well it all started friday, my girl (Jessie) and I were doing some figure 8's on the first and third barrel when I pulled a shoe. As I was taking a break my girl and her momma (the girl Comanche owns) started talking about taking the both of us at six am to get my shoe fixed at Ben's house and then droping me off with Bo (he owns the really nice black cowboy Marcus). Well that's exactley what they did! Well I met back up with my girl in Lillington at the Twin Oaks camp grounds. Well she unloaded me and groomed me really good and then she put a saddle on me and rode me around the arena.
Well come to find out she had entered me in my very first show with CCBR. Our first class together was the "Flag exchange." My girl took a white pole from the guy standing at the gate and then she tried to run me to the other end of the arena. Well I didn't feel like coperating with her and decided to try and make a U-turn to go back to where I had come from. Which did not work out like I had planned, but anyways we ran 32 seconds and some change we placed third. Our next class I knew because we had been practicing at home it was Speed Barrel. I cooperated and we placed second we ran 10.10 seconds. My girl was so proud of me! Next we did something that I have never done in my life it was called the Potato Race we placed third with 17 seconds (I ran faster than Comanche did because he does not like the color blue and that was the color of the barrel ha-ha). The next thing we did was the Fun event I teamed up with Comanche, he went to the end of the arena and waited. We ran through the gate and we went under a pole then over a small jump and then under another pole. Comanche did the same thing our team placed first with 28 seconds when I came out of the arena I was prancin and making my girl proud of me! Next we did texas barrels I ran it twice and I placed fith place both times the first time i ran 16.86 seconds and then I turned around the second time and ran a 13.06. Boy that was fast! I also did poles twice the first time I knocked over a pole I wanted to come back the way I had came but the second time I placed fourth, I ran 37.20 seconds not bad for the first time I have ever seen a set of poles! I also did cloverleaf I didn't do so hot because I don't do to well with right hand turns! But all in all I had a good time but throughout the whole show I was crow hoppin and I even bucked a time or two! I thought it was funny and so did every body else. My girl even had somebody come up to her and offer to buy me I told her to tell the guy he was crazy I wanted to go back home with Comanche.
Well I had a lot of fun with my girl this weekend! I am looking forward to doing it again in september, we don't have one in august something about my girl and my friends girls and guys having to go back to a thing called school. But anyways next time I am gonna do a lot better because I am gonna make my girl come out on a regular basis so that i can show her how to do this stuff! I know that i made my girl very proud of me cause she kept tellin me so. She told me that I excedded her expections! Well it's almost dinner time but I figured that I would let you guys know about all the fun that I was able to have this weekend!
