New horse and Homeschool Class Registration

We have a new horse out at the barn now.  His name is Comanche (for now) and this is not the same horse that you see Grace riding in the videos section.  Comanche belongs to Michelle and is going to be her new barrel racing horse.  He is quite the stepper - very impressive to watch.  I think he's going to do great.  We've also officially opened registration for our first homeschool class.  There are only six slots available so be sure to contact us soon and get your child registered before it's too late!  Feel free to read more about our homeschool classes.

We've been talking about this homeschool idea for a while now.  Michelle and I worked really hard on the syllabus and we feel confident that the class is going to be very successful in terms of it's educational quality.  Most people don't know this, but both of us got our college degrees in education.  Michelle was actually a full time teacher for a few years and was really good at it.  She taught at two Christian schools and then at a Charter school in Holly Springs (CPCHS).  Lee got his degree in History Education and has served as a substitute teacher and Sunday School teacher in the years since he finished college.

Both of us studied the science and art of education and have applied that to building the curriculum for our homeschool classes.  The first class will serve as the foundation of what we envision offering one day: several different classes that all help to educate the student on the various aspects of owning and caring for horses.  One of our major goals is to show young people that the things they learn in their core subjects such as math and science are relavant and important in all areas of their life, even in their horses.

We are looking forward to the semester and hope to see you out there in class very soon!
