Man, has it been cold or what?  Lucky has been bundling up in his blanky the last couple nights.  Its funny when you go out in the morning and their water is frozen in their stall buckets.

Michelle and I had yet another stray dog show up the other day at our house.  He was a beautiful boxer "puppy."  I use the quotes there because he probably weighed in at 65 pounds and was really under-weight even though he couldn't have been more than eight months old.  As of tonight I think we may have found a home for this huge puppy dog.  I suspect he'll top out at around a hundred pounds or so.  That is a hundred pounds of pure, slobbery sweetness.

Lessons are going great right now.  We are pretty much at our maximum capacity.  It is really good to have some new faces around and meet some new folks.  We've got a few new students out around the barn and I'm really looking forward to watching them learn.  Once the time changes in March we'll be distributing the lessons back out over the week and taking on some new students.

Michelle and I are also talking about some trail riding in the Spring.  I think we'll be choosing some students to take on a few off-site rides to let them get some additional exposure.  I'll share some more about that as soon as we work out the details.

A whole new year!

We at EE Stables really hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. We held our annual pony rides at the same location as last year, off Hwy 50, and it was great. The weather was wonderful (remember last year when it was cold and raining?) and the visitors were really great. We have a lot of new students starting this year and we are so excited to have them and the rest of our great students out there at the barn. We've also got some new instructors out at the barn, some of them are even past students of ours! Read on to learn more about them and the other great things we've been up to!

Best Mule Days Ever!

It's been a while since an update, but I had to let you all know that we are doing great. Mule Days was just last weekend. We camped out from Thursday through Sunday afternoon and it was really fun. From the mud sling to rodeo we had the best time. Read on for all the funny stories!
