Shalom takes another step... well kinda
Actually it was a ride in a trailer. I finally worked up the nerve to go all the way. There is no way it would have happened without Melanie too -- she was an invaluable help today (as usual). Its' funny, to me every head wobble, every movement...
Actually it was a ride in a trailer. I finally worked up the nerve to go all the way. There is no way it would have happened without Melanie too -- she was an invaluable help today (as usual). Its' funny, to me every head wobble, every movement was a warning that he was going to just freak out. I'm sure that anyone else that would have watched would just have thought, "what's the big deal?" But they weren't there the night he almost died in that two horse trailer and they didn't see the look in his eye. I did, so I was very hesitant and very cautious with this whole process.
However, once again, he came through for me and showed me that even though he can be nervous at times, underneath he is very brave and trusts me very much. I was so relieved when we got back to the barn without incident and unloaded him. It was a huge step for both of us.
