In a suprise turn of events, Michelle and I got to be on WRAL last night.  The segment was produced by Gloria Lopez, and we both think she did a great job.  It's funny how a twenty minute interview can be reduced so effeciently to twenty seconds, but I think that is just the way it goes.  The interview was regarding the situation with the East Wake Highschool wrestler who lost his temper and shouted at his math teacher.  She appently felt threatened enough to take out a restraining order against him.  Both of us have deep roots in education; we both got degrees in it and Michelle actually taught for three years so we had more of a teachers perspective on the whole situation.  Our comments during the interview were mostly about the sad state of affairs public education is in right now.  Of course, Lulu got in on the action too.  I mean, what would an interview with us be without her?  Anyways, here is a link to the video (I hope this works)

In other news (pardon the pun), the fate of Dimples has been decided.  Ron gave her to Jessica as a birthday present!  Man, talk about spoiled!  So now Dimples has gone from "guest" to "permanent resident" status.  I guess she won't be needing that green card anymore...  So happy (late) b-day to Jess, and big congrats to them both.  Of course, huge thanks and gratitude to Ron.  We know what you had to go through to make that happen and we are so very thankful man.

We at EE Stables really hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. We held our annual pony rides at the same location as last year, off Hwy 50, and it was great. The weather was wonderful (remember last year when it was cold and raining?) and the visitors were really great. We have a lot of new students starting this year and we are so excited to have them and the rest of our great students out there at the barn. We've also got some new instructors out at the barn, some of them are even past students of ours! Read on to learn more about them and the other great things we've been up to!
