Yeah... so one thing at a time. First of all, the Easy Run finals were this past Saturday. Michelle had a good clean run of about eighteen seconds. It was a nice finish to the season. Her first few runs this year were 24 to 26 seconds, so dropping down to an average of between 17 and 18 seconds is a great year. I took 122 pictures and you can see them all here: Easy Run Finals 2005. If you want a full size print of something, take note of the picture title and email me.
Now onto the colic. We went for a short day trip down to little river with our friends. The day started out great with a nice three hour ride. However, when we got back and were settling down for lunch, Michelle noticed Sugar acting a little strange. She was not eating her hay and she was pawing at the ground. She does not do that when she is tied up with her hay bag, so Michelle went to check on her. At first we thought maybe she had drank too much water before she cooled all the way down, but we soon realized it was very serious. Read on for the whole disturbing story. You can see pictures of the trail ride (some really nice shots here) and Sugar's decline in here: Little River - November 2005.
