Misty

Howdy everyone.  I'm the new girl in town.  I'm from the Franklinton area near Va.  I was owned by the nicest man named Pete, but he decided to find me a new home and fly planes.  I have been all over the US.  I have some background in Western Pleasure, Trail riding and much more.  I'm now at hopefully my final home.  I love my new home and I am excited about what my new girl is going to do with me.  Let me tell you a little about myself.

My name is Mistys Spicey Delight.  I will be 11 years young this March.   Yes I said young, I am ready to go and burn the trails up.  I am registered with the American Paint Horse Association and I have beautiful markings.  I am definitely high maintenance.  Oh well my girl is too!!!

This is my story of how my cowgirl found me.  I was taken out of the pasture which I had been enjoying for over 5 months getting nice and fat, then some strange people came and rode me and worked me a little too hard.  I hurt my ankle but tried not to make a big deal about it.  I was then put back in a stall which I do not like to be in at all.  Later that night my cowgirl came to see me with her cowboy and little girl who I loved the moment I saw her.  I knew she was my new cowgirl the moment she came into my stall.  She was so sweet but knew what she was doing and checked me out from head to toe.  I tried to play a few games with her, but she kept winning them; she was young and in charge.  We rode in the arena but the pain in my ankle was getting worse.  I started limping and she noticed immediatley.  She got off took me back to the barn and tacked me down.  She was so concerned, but I was really trying to impress her.  She talked with Pete for a while and then left.  I was so sad.  I waited for a week and it seemed as if she was never coming back, and then all of a sudden I heard walking down the isle.  She finally came back, I was cold, wet but so excited to see her again.  This time she had a trailer with her and another cowgirl who was also really nice.  They groomed me and then loaded me in the trailer.  I was off to my new home, I didnt know where it was but I was excited.

When we pulled in the new place I knew this was home.  As soon as I was taken off the trailer she groomed me again and then saddled me up so she could show me to all of her friends.  We walked around and did some trotting.  Then her cowboy came out of the barn with a flag and holder.  Wow I was excited and so was she.  I did so good and didnt even spook at the flag.   A little while later she tacked me down, groomed me and then showed me to my new home.

A week later she took me to the vet to check my leg and see what was wrong.  After several really painful test the vet decided I had a sprained ankle, which is what my girl had already said.  All I need is a few weeks off and I will be ready to go.  Today, January 19th, my girl bought me and now I am hers for good.  Hopefully I will always make her proud and do exactly what she wants.

A few little things about me: I hate standing around in a stall, love the color Teal, live for treats, and don't tell Duster but I think he is cute.   Well I'm off to get some "Wind In My Hair."
